The North Face Purple Label Has GORE-TEX-Lined a Classic Cowichan Sweater

Posted on November 15, 2022December 8, 2022 by Gray, 2952 views

The North Face Purple Label has just unveiled a capsule of GORE-TEX sweaters for the winter season — and they blend the imprint’s functional outerwear technology with a flurry of coziness, just in time for the Christmas holidays.

Purple Label continue to offer seasonal collections that are specifically made for its lucky retail partners. For example, in the summer, nanamica presented a collection of 65/35 Mountain Parka jackets along with a slew of other summer-ready T-shirts with tie-dye and floral prints. Furthermore, the Purple Label is also versatile enough to provide its synonymous, winter-ready garments and these new GORE-TEX INFINIUM Field Sweaters are arguably, the perfect Fall/Winter companion.

Available in beige and black colorways, the Field Sweaters have combined functional design with a vintage aesthetic to capture the essence of a classic Cowichan sweater — a distinctly-patterned design knitted out of bulky-weighted yarn. The style originated during the late 19th century among the Cowichan, a collection of people that resided in the isles of British Columbia.

This new design from the Purple Brand takes a lot of influence from the latter, with a similar pattern, collar style, and pocket assemblage. However, the garment has been modernized with a GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER lining that enhances its wind resistance and tackles moisture with ease. Rounding off the design, the sweaters also include The North Face-embossed leather zip pullers and two lower pockets.

You can have a closer look at the GORE-TEX INFINIUM Field Sweaters above and they are available now on the official nanamica website.

In other news, eYe Junya Watanabe MAN has customized The North Face Nuptse Jacket.
