Perte D’ego FW22 Dresses for Brunch in Aspen

Posted on November 1, 2022November 9, 2022 by Gray, 2523 views

Born out of New Delhi, India, menswear imprint Perte D’ego operates under the creative jurisdiction of traditional design techniques, including intricate appliqué, hand dyeing, precise cutwork, hand embroideries and Zari weaving. After debuting an eclectic collection dedicated to summertime adventures in July, designer Utkarsh Mithas has made reservations in a slightly-colder destination for Fall/Winter 2022, with a line titled “Brunch in Aspen.”

The range, inspired by vintage travel imagery and stories, hosts a selection of statement-making prints, quilted jackets and decorative shirts. Button-downs are embroidered and applicquéd with firework motifs, playing-card emblems and bright orange flower designs, while comfortable, matching sets typically boast loud, all-over graphics. A collared, zip-up jacket animates itself with elegant, floral artwork on its front and Perte D’ego branding on its back, and another zips from both the top and the bottom in a light beige. A standout, though, is a coat decorated with a map of a snow-capped summit, reminiscent of those in Aspen.

Instilled in the Perte D’ego brand identity is a penchant for artisanal craftsmanship. In lieu of outsourcing to factories for manufacturing, the label hires artisans on permanent contracts to create each piece in its studio. With an intimate approach to design, Mithas’ works oftentimes require two to four days to be handcrafted upon order.

Perte D’ego’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection “Brunch in Aspen” is now available to shop on the designer’s webstore. Take a look at the range in the gallery above.

In more fashion news, Richardson has teamed up with Public House Skating Team for a vivid outerwear capsule.
