On November 11, Actress will release a new EP, Dummy Corporation, via Ninja Tune. The title track of the EP is 19 minutes long, and the new single “Dream” runs nine minutes and 20 seconds. Take a listen below.
Dummy Corporation follows Actress’ 2020 album Karma & Desire, as well as his recent collaboration with Mount Kimbie’s Kai Campos, “AZD Surf.” Discussing the new EP in a press release, Actress said, “The overall idea is for this to be a demonstration of the process and the philosophical action art of creating modern day electronic music.” The electronic musician added, “I create these sketches, essentially like the fabrics, and I collage them together.… Once I see the picture, it’s embellished further and the process repeats.”
