We are a social enterprise that empowers communities to reduce inequalities. The beautiful handicrafts you see on our website are made in Cambodia by local women who have studied in a 12-month sewing program at Human and Hope Association in Siem Reap, Cambodia. These inspirational women are using their skills to overcome poverty and create safe and peaceful lives for their families.
WHERE ARE THE PRODUCTS MADE?
These handicrafts are made at the homes of our seamstresses, who are able to work at their own pace and take care of their children at the same time. All our seamstresses earn a fair wage and receive constant development opportunities.
We are called Hope Handicrafts because when you make a purchase you are providing hope. Hope to the women in Cambodia who make the handicrafts hope to Human and Hope Association who use the proceeds to provide programs to their community, and hope to the people in Cambodia.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
The sales of our handicrafts support our registered Australian charity, Human and Hope Inc, so we can continue to empower communities to reduce inequalities.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
We are in constant need of support so we can continue to empower communities to address inequalities. The great news is, there are many ways you can be involved! This includes:
– Travelling to Cambodia through our Purpose + Philanthropy Field Trip
– Hosting a market stall at your workplace
– Becoming a monthly donor for just $10/month
– Donating your birthday to our charity
– And of course, purchasing our handicrafts!
